THE JOURNEY
Growing
up, I developed the yearn to start a business but the kind of business to
venture into and how to commence was always a challenge. Nonetheless, the
exposure and experience gathered through roles played on various developmental
projects with AGS More Resources, AGRA, USAID and BUSAC facilitated the
establishment of DAKE-SOLVES CONSULT.
The
experiences had revealed that businesses especially entrepreneurs were eager to
grow and expand but lacked the requisite skills. Also, the limited time, nature
of business and the inability of some organisations to oversee and implement
some of their activities was affecting the achievement of their goals. There
was an urgent need to resolve this issue through the formation of a reliable,
available and accessible consultancy hence the establishment of DAKE-SOLVES CONSULT.
Despite
the existence of DAKE-SOLVES CONSULT for over the past four (4) years, the
company was officially registered with the Registrar General’s Department in
2018. The company is owned by Ghanaians namely, Gabriel Benaiah Kofi Dake and
Yaa Ansomaa Gagbah.
As
a business, DAKE-SOLVES CONSULT has gone through various forms of challenges
but has remained vibrant due to the expertise brought on board by the leadership.
Being customer oriented and expediting services on time has been the pillar of
the organisation.
Initially,
the organization focused on clients only within the Greater Accra Region
however has grown to serve clients all over the ten (10) Regions of Ghana. The
organisation has developed business plans and proposals for over two hundred (200)
clients, and facilitated business development, association development and
advocacy trainings for over hundred (100) clients and monitored the activities
of over fifty (50) grantees who are being supported by donor grants.
Going
forward, DAKE-SOLVES CONSULT is open to partnerships with companies who share
similar vision to take advantage of the untapped opportunities in the business
environment.
